Wood and Tile Mantel and Fireplace Surround Restoration.

Before and after shows layers of paint covering the blue tile as well as the woodwork. The paint was of course stripped from the tile as well as the wood.

9 Foot Carved and Burled Walnut Doorway.

The 2 woods were stained to blend complementary colors, and the two-toned woodwork was finished to be more compatible. The 9-foot carved and burled walnut doorway was stripped and finished to a lighter color than the original dark finish.

Refinishing Woodwork in New Kitchen and Staircase.

East End finishes new work as well as historic restoration. Here, a light finish for oak millwork in a new kitchen was formulated to set off new bluestone masonry work. On another project, a new staircase received a dark finish.

Custom Finish for Mahogany Doors.

We developed a very custom finish for these entry doors, among others, to a 150 year old brownstone in New York City.

Woodwork in Victorian Octagonal Room with Stained Glass.

These before and after pictures show the measures taken to protect the stained glass windows from the paint stripping process. The after picture shows work stripped but not finished.

Intricate Carved Wood Room Divider.

This hand crafted screen is part of the original built in work in a private residence, Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Matched Original Finish for Fireplace Over Mantel.

A new finish was developed for a new overmantel to match existing fireplace mantel in New York City private residence.

Staircase and Railings, Stripped and Finished.

This restoration work is in a 1880's country house designed by renowned architect Stanford White, located in St. James, LI including stairway, beams, molding, doors, and mantel. Shown are before and after images of a railing at the second floor termination of a grand staircase restoration.

Back Staircase Stripped of Paint.

This little staircase, railing and newel post has been completely stripped of paint and is ready for finishing.

Finishing New Poplar Doors.

Our crew refinished newly constructed nine foot mahogany walls, on site in Palm Beach, Florida. Shown are some of the 23 poplar doors that were also part of this new project.

Fifty Mahogany Doors.

These doors are part of a project involving all new work in a brownstone in Greenwich Village, New York City. Shown is the magnificent main entrance door.
