Refinishing Woodwork in New Kitchen and Staircase. East End finishes new work as well as historic restoration. Here, a light finish for oak millwork in a new kitchen was formulated to set off new bluestone masonry work. On another project, a new staircase received a dark finish.

Staircase and Railings, Stripped and Finished. This restoration work is in a 1880's country house designed by renowned architect Stanford White, located in St. James, LI including stairway, beams, molding, doors, and mantel. Shown are before and after images of a railing at the second floor termination of a grand staircase restoration.

Back Staircase Stripped of Paint. This little staircase, railing and newel post has been completely stripped of paint and is ready for finishing.

Shutters Stripped at our Shop. If an architectural elements can be easily removed, such as doors and shutters, there are cost and scheduling advantages to doing so and having the work done in our shop, in a controlled environment. Yes, we do furniture as well.

Finishing New Poplar Doors. Our crew refinished newly constructed nine foot mahogany walls, on site in Palm Beach, Florida. Shown are some of the 23 poplar doors that were also part of this new project.
